I wanted to take the time to say how excited I am that we were able to be a part of the happiness training this year. I have personally witnessed some major adjustments in our agents due to this training! You can see the difference in their calls and metrics, but more importantly I can see the difference in them as a person. I have personally had multiple agents message me how this training really helped change their perspective and helped them overcome obstacles not just at work but in their home life.
I had an agent who lost the mother of his children last year, tell me that happiness training is the first time he was able to say it out loud even though it had been months since it happened. He actually took the next step into leadership this year and I truly believe happiness training helped him get there. I can’t say enough good things about Dillon and his training and am so happy we are implementing it to more agents!

““Participating in the Happiness Training has been a transformative experience for me. It helped me shift my perspective on what happiness truly means. Happiness is not a distant goal tied to promotions or material achievements, but something present in everyday moments. Through exercises like mood tracking, reframing tasks, and tending to relationships, I’ve learned to appreciate the small joys in life, whether it’s spending time with loved ones or finding meaning in routine chores. This training reminded me that happiness is not something to chase, it’s something to cultivate.
The most impactful part of the experience has been the happiness meetings themselves. The open discussions and thoughtfully designed exercises created a space for reflection, connection, and growth. Each session offered practical
tools and meaningful insights into achieving happiness. I’ve seen growth not only in myself but also in my peers, as we supported each other through the process. I truly believe this training has the power to enrich both personal wellbeing and workplace culture, and I highly recommend it to any team looking to foster a more positive and connected environment.”

My experience participating in the Happiness Trainings has been really eye opening to how small, & what I believed were insignificant, bad habits can really affect my overall happiness & performance. In my personal experience, I struggled with the “I will be happy when..” phrase, believing I will
be happy once I reach my goals. I have made small permanent changes, as proposed, to my daily routine that have made me realize I have plenty to be grateful for now & I do not have to rely on something to happen to be “happy”. I will continue working towards growth by focusing on things that nourish my mind, body & spirit to put my best self forward in every situation. I also really enjoy seeing my co-workers in our meeting & hearing about their progress, in my opinion, it has added some humanity back into the workplace & I look forward to our upcoming meetings.

I felt that the Happiness Training was very therapeutic for me. I wish that it’s an ongoing thing as I did enjoy the training. It was educational and refreshing as I was going through some difficult times in life. I appreciate the books that I received and will include the practices in my everyday life. I have already started doing things from the books to bring more joy and happiness to my life. Hopefully, this will even enhance my life as well. Dillon was very knowledgeable, clear and efficient. He did a wonderful job as the host. I hope more trainings like this comes up in the future as this training has been something to look forward to. Thank you for the training!
Sincerely,

I just wanted to share a quick note on my experience with the happiness training and let you know I am very grateful for being chosen to be a participate in the training. I’m glad this is being offered to kaiser Permanente employees and how helpful it is for us agent on and off work. I have learned very valuable information on how to find happiness within myself and ways to achieve it in the workplace and in my personal life. When you are happy with yourself internally and have a positive look on life our customer can hear it in our words and expression which improves the experience the customer receives and guarantees we provided an exception experience to our customer. Each training class I learned new ways to achieve the goal of happiness and how small changes to every day activity can make a big impact to master it. I think every company should offer this to their employees as it has made a very positive impact in my life as a licensed agent and in my personal life. Thank you again and look forward for the next training class.

Everyone says that they want to be happy, that in itself means that they are looking for ways to make them feel happy. But happiness does not come from the outside, it actually comes from the inside and you can cultivate and be happy under all kinds of circumstances. I learned this and much more through the workshop offered by Dillon Turnbow. He is a specialized trainer and Life Coach in the art of being Happy. It was very easy to understand and fun. These will help with Workplace Culture, Team Productivity and Employee Happiness. Life is short, whatever it is you do, Enjoy Happiness while you do it. I very happily wholeheartedly recommend it.

To my delightful surprise, Dillon has helped me find ways to promote self-acceptance, serenity, and joyous fulfillment. I look forward to our recurring huddles – not only to further myself on the journey of my realizing my happiness, but also as a refreshing escape from my fast-paced, demanding responsibilities at work. It’s a reminder that more isn’t always more, but rather that balance is one of those ingredients to create a fulfilling environment in all aspects of life. Dillon has inspired me to achieve happiness not only for myself, but also act on behalf of others around me. The group activities are fun, encourage input from all, and is a creative lab that we collaborate together on to achieve our mutual goals for ourselves. I’d recommend to all. Thank you Dillon! – Adam
I enjoyed our sessions and gained new ways to make life happier and ways to work towards achieving my goals. One of them is going back to school starting in January to add an associate in radiology technology to go along with my 4-year degree in sociology that I already have. It’s been a pleasure and wish you the best.

Attending the happiness training session, particularly through the lens of Scale Up Happiness and Scale Up Workplace Culture, Team Productivity and Employee Happiness by Dillon Turnbow, has been a life-changing experience for me. As someone who has battled major depression and anxiety, this training has offered me the tools and mindset shifts needed to take back control of my happiness, regardless of external circumstances. One of the core takeaways from the books and sessions was the realization that while we cannot control genetics or the challenges life throws at us, we do have control over our daily habits. This insight was a game-changer. I learned that happiness isn’t something dictated by what’s happening around me, but something I can intentionally cultivate by making small changes and focusing on what I can control. The training emphasized the importance of seven key areas: belonging, purpose, achievement, growth, enjoyment, health, and faith. In the midst of life’s chaos, it’s easy to lose sight of these elements, but focusing on them daily has brought me back to a place of emotional balance and peace. By making intentional choices, I’ve seen improvements in my mental health and have regained a sense of direction in my life. It’s been incredibly eye-opening to realize how much our mindset shapes how we perceive and react to the world around us. During the training, there were moments when I couldn’t help but cry—emotions I had buried deep due to the weight of depression and anxiety. Yet, through the guidance of the training, I was able to pull myself out of that rut by shifting my focus on small wins and reducing the tendency to complain. This has been crucial for my mental health.
Another major insight was that, while circumstances can feel overwhelming at times, I am always anchored by my faith in God. The belief that I am covered and safe in His arms, regardless of what life brings, has provided me with unwavering strength and stability. This spiritual foundation has been a powerful source of comfort and peace, grounding me as I navigate life’s ups and downs. Professionally, this training has reinforced my purpose. While I may not be earning the same salary I did two years ago, this job aligns with my deeper calling—to help people. The feedback I receive from callers and the impact I have on their lives is a constant reminder that I am in the right place. The fulfillment I gain from serving others far outweighs any material gain, and that, too, has been a huge contributor to my sense of happiness. In conclusion, this happiness training has allowed me to scale up my own happiness by teaching me to focus on what I can control, be intentional about my habits, and reconnect with my purpose and faith. The insights from Scale Up Happiness and Scale Up Workplace Culture have empowered me to move forward with a healthier mindset and a renewed sense of gratitude. For anyone seeking to improve their mental well-being and happiness, this training is an invaluable tool.
